Large-Cap

Large-Cap stocks or indexes refer to companies (or indexes based on those companies) whose Market Capitalization is large relative to the rest of the market.

Large-Cap stocks typically make up most of the general market by value but usually not by number. In other words, a relatively small number of large companies together have a greater value than the rest of the market.
