'this' or 'that' happen for 30 Year TBond

will 'this' happen or 'that' happen when 30 Year TBond tick size changes?
when it changes from $31 tick size now to $15 tick size on March 3rd...

*a 'move' would double?...meaning say a 5 minute move went 5 ticks currently would then move 10 ticks?
*all broker daytrade margins would be 'halfed'...
*trade volume will increase or decrease?

please chime in and over you thoughts...thanks...INow...
Only A with be true but the move size won't changed just the number of noted ticks per range moved would double. Margins would be unaffected because they work off the based value of the contract which hasn't changed. The volume will be unchanged.

Remember when the NQ recently went from 0.50 points per tick to 0.25?

thanks...so do you think the new ticks would go something like this...CURRENT: 116.70,116.71,116.72 etc....NEW 116.70, 116.7050, 116.71, 116.7150 ????...thanks for letting me know...
The ticks will now be 1/64ths instead of 1/32nds. So they will now go:
116-32
116-33
116-34
...
116-63
117-00
etc.

this is what I am trying to say...
30 Year Bond spread change this Sunday..because of tick change:
for the sake of this clarification forget fractions...lets only use decimals...okay, currently we view 30 year tBond prices as say 116.23 Bid 116.24 Ask
116.33 Bid 116.34 Ask...etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.
...will this Sundays new tick point reduction from $31 to $15 cause the bid/ask spread to change to something different?..please help understand...will it be something like:
116.2350 Bid 116.2400 Ask etc.?thanks for clarifying!
The spread is the difference between the bid and the ask. If an instrument in whole units per tick (like the YM for example) then the minimum spread size will be 1 point. If the tick size is halved then the minimum spread will halve as well. Remember that the spread can be bigger than the minimum spread.
