Trading the DJ EuroStoxx50

Does anyone here trades the FESX?
For those who is not familiar with it,
it's like the "emini" version of the German DAX.
It has a daily volume that rivals emini SP.
It has a good volatility too. Excellent if you're
looking for other market to trade during after hours to
supplement your ES.
I don't trade it very often because I can't workout the pivots
quickly enough.
I wish MyPivots will include it one day.
Do you have more info on this? I've just done a little bit of research and come up with 2 cash indices: One quoted in Euros and the other in USD - although that makes no sense to me because an index is not a cash valued symbol. Perhaps it refers to the underlying valuation of the stocks in the index. Maybe one has the underlying valued in Euros and the other in USD because the 50 stocks span more than one currency?

Do you have a link to the exchange where this is traded and to the product specification pages?

I also assume that you're talking about the future traded on this index and not the cash index right?

I've now found the Stoxx web site and products list:
http://www.stoxx.com/indices/types/benchmark.html

And the exchange it trades on is Eurex:
http://www.eurexchange.com/
Hi, I do trade this product. You can find more details @ this site:
http://www.eurexchange.com/trading/products/IDX/STX/BLC/FESX_en.html
It trades in euros. It has less volume then the ES, it is volatile!
What do you have for today's open?

3577.0?
Thanks DT, you're a champ!

An interesting article from March 2008 issue of Stocks & Commodities magazine, pp 96.
Among the most popular futures traded in the world, in terms of liquidity, Stoxx50 is in No. 3, and is the highest rank among index futures.
Emini SP comes at no.10 and similar in liquidity with US 10-Yr Note and DAX. And this - Stoxx50 is almost 3 times more liquid the all of the three!
The emini Nasdaq is in 34th place.
leobust: I like the idea of trading this product and will look @ the webb site
for more information. Thanks for your help. One question/ it is important I know
when economic news is going to be released is there a way to know this?

I'm relatively new to this market and am still gathering info about it. I only rely on the web. Right now, I don't have a link to any economic news. Europe I think is a tougher nut to crack when it comes to gathering this kind of info, not like in the US.
I receive a news letter from BarChart.com it has eco.news release for some overseas
Many thanks SPQR
Is the there something about the FESX besides the different trading hours that make it attractive to trade? Does it move with less whip for instance?
thanks
