eminiviper.com

I started this topic because some questions I asked and answers I got from cba33558 were getting lost in this rather extensive topic here:

http://www.mypivots.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2300&whichpage=30

We started this discussion on page 30 of that thread, and I thought I'd move it here so we can continue it (since no one took me up on my offer to start this thread). I'll cut and paste the three posts made after cba33558 posted a chart about eminiviper.com

From 6/8/09:

jimkane: Hey, cba. I checked out that EminiViper.com page. Very impressive. Seems like they don't have any losing days, or even losing trades (or do they not post those?). Is that so? If not, how many stop outs or false signals are you seeing on an average day? It doesn't mean much to me to see winners, I am more interested in the losers I have to take to get those winners. Also, are you the owner of EminiViper.com, or do you work for them? If not, what is your association? If I don't ask, that will likely be the first question from everyone else. Thanks.

cba33558: Hey Jim -

Thanks for visiting the Web site and offering your constructive questions and feedback...

The videos are intended to show the NQ Emini trades that are triggered by the system each day. Currently the system is designed to issue trade signals only the Nasdaq Emini. In addition to the Viper indicator, the system uses a combination of guidance charts and a trading chart that very rarely has a losing trade. With all of these constraints, it should be noted however, that there are not many signals that trigger in any given trading day. Depending on the volatility - usually one or two trades may trigger - a busy day would be 3 trades.

The entire trading system is not shown in the videos; however, all of the details regarding these trade signals are shown in an eBook and training videos. The actual trade signals themselves are analyzed in real-time in the live Webinars. The entire goal of this system was accuracy - not catching every trade.

In answer to your other question, I have been a trader for a little over 12 years now, I am a partner in the firm; and was involved extensively in developing, actively trading and back-testing the Viper system over the past year and a half.

Once again, thank you for your input, and I look forward to opportunity of respectfully participating in your Forum...

jimkane: Thanks for the response, cba. Wow, those are some incredibly impressive stats. Given these are intraday trend trades, it's almost incomprehensible to me. My style is intraday trend trading, and with the 3 to 5 to 1 or sometimes higher reward/risk profiles I'm happy anywhere in the 30% to 50% winners range.

I have a few more questions. Is there a way to follow along and see live trade signals the moment they develop, on a trial basis? The web site mentions visiting a live webinar for a day. Would one see live signals in time to act, or only after they have started? What if no signals are generated that day, can someone try another day? It's very hard to evaluate a system with a one-day trial, especially one that generates only a few signals.

Next, what is the difference between live webinars and live trading room, as far as signals given in real-time? Also, if one signs on to your room and gets all that training, does that do any good without the software? What is the cost of the license, since the website doesn't specify this? I'd love to follow along real-time for a period and evaluate your system, but I'm not sure you have any provisions where I could do that without laying out money first. Again, if I don't ask all these questions, someone else will. Since I'm probably the longest-winded character at this forum, I figured I'd just get the ball rolling. It's not often I hear about a system that has almost no losers at all.

Lastly, if we go much further with this discussion it may be appropriate to move it from this thread to one you or someone else could create in Trading Advisory Services.
cba33558: The links to your videos have been removed. This forum is for discussion and not intended to promote your system. Please feel free to answer questions that have been addressed to you (above) so that you can discuss your system but do not promote it in these forums and do not post links to your videos or site.
cba,

I tried to follow along on Twitter as your website suggests, but when I click the link it says "this page does not exist".
I want to mention that I have asked the hard questions of cba, and he has granted me a free trial of the service. I am planning on following up on this, and watching him trade in real time. I'm going to be getting access to the live chat, the software, the whole nine yards. I will be reporting my thoughts in here, and we all know I call 'em as I see 'em, pro or con. I was so intrigued by the discussion that this system has almost no losers that I felt I simply must follow up on that. Stay tuned, I'm starting my first live chat with the place later today. I don't have the software up and running because I don't have the eSignal platform, but I have been told they are working hard to get it integrated with Ninja ASAP.
Greetings -

Please accept my apologies - did not know that video posts showing trades were against policy...

Seriously, I was not trying to pitch the system - was simply trying to show some trade set-ups. If they are not appropriate here, NP - we won't put them up.

As for the Twitter link, sorry, that was an old link. We will fix it with the correct link.

I know there were a lot of questions, and instead of posting a long winded answer here, let's let Jim's review speak for itself.

Thanks --
I just wanted to do a quickie update here on this. I have been following along for a few live afternoon sessions, but I don't have the software yet because I am waiting for the Ninja version. I won't be able to say anything intelligible until I've seen the two gentlemen who own this company trade live, in real time, making calls as the happen. As we all know, nothing means anything until you see that. It seems most of the trades they will be calling live are morning sessions, and it is hard for me to follow the market for myself and follow these guys in the AM. I will try to do the best I can on this. I also want to have the software up and running when I do this, and that will happen after they get it interfaced with Ninja. I am really looking forward to this, because anything that isn't victimized by chop I have to see. Once I have something to post you'll all see it in here. BTW, I don't have to be the only one to try this. A few of the top traders in here should also try this and watch these guys do it live, real time with real trades. Might make for some good trading discussion.

Hey Jim,

I am also evaluating this program. I was in the webinar with you today. I was the guy with the mic asking all the questions.

I did the Esig download and installed their program (pretty straight forward).

I also spent quite a lot of time with Gary after the webinar was over.
As you say the proof is in the results, but so far I have a good feeling about these guys.
Hey, myptofvu, I thought that might be you, I don't know why. I was even going to message you and ask if that was you, and I decided that would be too lucky of a shot in the dark. I guess the kind of questions you asked made me think of your posts.

I have to wait for the Ninja because I run QCharts and not the eSignal platform, even though they both run off the exact same eSignal data manager, because their program interfaces with the Esignal platform, not the data manager. As we've said, what matters now that we understand the gist of the system is to see them trade it profitably and consistently in real-time. They seem like real nice guys, willing to really work with people. As harsh as it is, though, you and I both know that in our business only one thing matters in the end, and that's the bottom right hand side of that brokerage statement. Hopefully, they'll come through and do exactly what they are saying they do day in and day out live as we watch. I'm looking forward to it.
Hmmm, I think my subsconscious must have been at work, myptofvu, I just scrolled this page up and saw your name asking a previous question, so when I thought it might have been you in there today I bet that was rattling around in my brain. I didn't even recall you had posted in here. That seems the most logical reason why I thought it was you, I think. Pretty cool, anyway.
LOL Jim how you knew that was me I have no idea. We have never even exchanged posts before let alone spoken to one another, although I'd like to. If you have Skype my ID is "rthtrader". My cell phone is for crap where I'm at.

Anyway looking forward to talking to you we could get together and discuss "viper" after we've reviewed it.
Like I said, my subconscious must have recalled you were the only one in here who posted in this thread, that and maybe recalling the style of the posts you make, which I read whenever you post. I kick myself for not messaging you, it would have blown your mind if I had!
Sorry this reply is 2-years late but I just joined the forum.

I know from personal experience that GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar default to showing all users and all comments unless specifically disabled by the Host.

If they're saying what was reported that's a blatant lie.
