There are no 'dumb' questions , friend. As i have stated many times, there is no holy grail here! to decipher the 'main trend' i use other methods like cycles , longer term chart projections , or my mov. averages on the 5 and 13 min charts. Price projections work best giving a possible reaction point , not really for a trend following tool. I suppose tyhats why i tend to be a scalper by nature instead of a position trader!
