Definition of 'Diamonds DIA'

DIA's are Diamonds, an ETF that trades on AMEX.

DIAMONDS represent ownership in the DIAMONDS, Trust Series 1, a unit investment trust established to accumulate and hold a portfolio of the equity securities that comprise the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA).

Diamonds seek investment results that, before expenses, generally correspond to the price and yield performance of the DJIA. Total returns are calculated monthly and quarterly using the daily 4:00 p.m. net asset value (NAV). Distributions, if any, are assumed to be reinvested back into the fund on the pay date at the NAV on that date.
