Kansas City Fed Manufacturing Index

The Kansas City Fed's monthly Survey of Tenth District Manufacturers provides information on current manufacturing activity in the Tenth Federal Reserve District.

The accumulated results help trace longer term trends. The survey monitors manufacturing plants selected according to geographic distribution, industry mix and size. Survey results reveal changes in several indicators of manufacturing activity, including production and shipments, and identify changes in prices of raw materials and finished products.

The survey results are released on the last Thursday of the month for the month for which the data is relevant. In the event that the last Thursday is a holiday the data will be released on the Wednesday preceding that.
