Austan Goolsbee

Austan Goolsbee is the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. He previously served as the Robert P. Gwinn Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business and as the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Barack Obama. He is a renowned economist and writer, and is known for his ability to explain complex economic concepts in a clear and concise way.

Goolsbee's research interests include the Internet, the new economy, government policy, and taxes. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and books, and is the author of the textbook "Microeconomics." He is also a frequent contributor to the media, and has written columns for The New York Times, Slate, and other publications.
