Kenneth Montgomery

Kenneth Montgomery is an American financial executive who currently serves as the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He assumed this position in October 2021, succeeding Eric S. Rosengren.

Montgomery has extensive experience in the financial industry, having worked for over three decades in various leadership positions in banking and technology firms. Prior to his appointment as President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

In his role as CEO of the Boston Fed, Montgomery is responsible for overseeing the bank's operations and activities, including its monetary policy functions, supervision of financial institutions, and support for the payments system. He is also a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), which sets monetary policy for the United States.
