I have been using this platform for almost a month now at AMP Trading. I actually was offered two datafeeds: CQG and Zen. I chose CQG and one of my friends chose Zen. Yesterday my friend noticed something interesting: the Zen quotes were lagging behind the CQG ones for quite a bit and when he asked me, I was bewildered b/c I didn't experience the same problem. Then today morning I find a post about the same thing here: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=225098&perpage=6&pagenumber=1 ... Seems like he's not the only one experiencing this problem. So I recommend CQG for the cost (my commissions are lower than his and when he asked his broker for my commission rate, the AMP broker said they can't offer such low commissions for Zen). Strange, because CQG is more reliable. But in any case... Ninja is a great platform. It's easy to use and the "lite" version contains everything except chart trading and the automated strategies. I didn't pay extra for them yet, but will do in the future, because serious traders need this. The platform is great and robust, the only thing I want is more documentation: is there a link to a guide for version 7.0? If so, please send me a private message with the link. Thank you.

You start with Ninjatrader, then you move to something else and you are sad about the time you lost.

Look, I want ninjatrader to work good. But I gave up. You backtest your strategy and you run that test 10 times on the same data and you get 10 times a different result. The profit and loss is never correct. Forget trading with IB. The roll over with futures are STILL not correctly handled (in v7 final) and your chart data is by default delayed by half a second and I cannot set that delay of data lower than 100ms ? Give me a break. Save yourself months of time and stay away from this one. The hype is wrong. It's there because it's free for charting without life trading. That's why it has such a big userbase. Did I mentioned already that you have to pay $0,1 for every trade you make on their static DOM ? They don't have a support telephone number you can call, etc....The list with problems is just endless...
