FDAX pivot calculation on your site

Hi,

I'm wondering which price you use for the current CLOSE of the DAX Future (http://mypivots.com/dn/?symbol=19)?

Dax is traded from 8am-10pm european time (GMT +1) and your listet open, high and low prices looks ok but the close price looks false and therefore the generated pivots are wrong.

Also you use "R3 = R2 + RANGE (same as: PP + RANGE * 2)" as R3 calculation. Classic formula should be "R3 = 2*(pp-low)+high", shouldn't it?

Thanks
The FDAX closing price is the previous session's close - it is not a live "current" close. I have check the price against a number of sources and it appears to be correct. Do you have a link to a page that shows a different value?

I am not familiar with your calculation of the classic formula. Where did you get that from?
The data for todays FDAX pivots (incl. open/high/low/close) can be checked at http://derivatecheck.de/tools/pivots.m?pagetype=2&sub=2&Hauptkurse_ID=32565&DID=3&Verfallsmonat=JUN7 for example.
(your data for close of Previous 22-May-2007 session 7679.0 is correct but not the current close values)

Classic formula calculation for example here:

I've just done some research on that. The R3 calculation that you are referring to is not the classic/original that was used. It is a modified form that is used in the Woodie Pivots. You can see it better if you have a play around with the Pivot Point Calculator.

I also think that derivatecheck.de has got the closing price wrong.
