MP spoos consolidation & bonds trying to build

Good question about the possibility of a 3rd distribution day tomorrow. How many shorts are left hurting from down below and will they cover tomorrow for fear of heading into the weekend with short positions on a strong up week.

Does anybody have any figures on the first week of the year? Is it generally bullish?
