I have purchased the IRT standard software package and dtn. It's
$51.00 this month and going to $71.00 or so by August 2006. Up to
this point it has not been as user friendly as one would like. I have
been using e signal forever and it comes natural i guess.

One word of caution use the demo version first. The only drawback to
that is it wont let you demo futures and that's all I trade.
There are many instructional videos on the site and you must watch
them in order to understand and make it work. I was told yesterday
that Irt is a small company and does not have phone assistance as
does e signal. I was informed they charge something for that service.
The Irt will be around $50.00 or $75.00 cheaper than e signal if i
can get it to work. That's one tick.

I hope i can get this up and running but its not looking to
promising. This is not my first rodeo but i am not a tech by any
means. It may come easier for others.

So to sum it up if you are using E signal don't give it up until you
have mastered the Irt platform all ready to go with market profile ,a
quote screen and a couple of charts.

I will let you know how things work out.
Good trading

The Investor/RT standard edition is currently $39/month, and it will remain $39/month in August and beyond. The change we are considering (starting August) and will likely make, is to make our TPO Charts and Volume Profile charts part of the professional edition, which is $59/month, and will remain $59/month. Blake is using the IB version of I/RT, and has chosen to add the $12/month DTNMA backfill feature (which we pass directly to DTN). This is a cost that only applies to IB users, and is completely optional, as IB does have downloading capabilities, just not as complete and reliable as what DTNMA provides.

Investor/RT is not for everyone. Investor/RT is not worth $39, much less $59 to everyone. At the same time, some user feel that I/RT is worth much more than $59/month. I realize that the costs of trading software, commissions, data, etc...really add up each month and many are very sensitive to a $20/month increase. But I've spent 6 months now focusing very much on the demands of the jpjtrading group, and have done a great deal of development in response to the wishes of that group. I really hope that the majority of you feel that the results are something that's very much worth the $59/month price tag....something that helps your trading results in a way that greatly outweighs the added $20/mo cost. If not, I apologize, and hope you have an alternative tool you can use that fits into your monthly
budget.

Blake, I was in the chat room all day Friday, and will be around next week. Please feel free to PM me if you have any problems or questions regarding I/RT. Yes, we are a small company, and if we opened up our phone lines for free, Bill and I would have no time for development, and Investor/RT would not be nearly what it is today. I hope you understand. However, I have made myself very available to JP's room for the last 6 months, which is something I've never done before. And I really appreciate JP allowing me to sit in and help you guys out. I've really enjoyed being part of such a great room and group.
