does anyone know the setting alex elder advises to use for the MACD in the triple screen system ?

doesnt he just use the standard settings that come with macd?

12-26-9 is the setting that he uses.......which is the default setting on most charting packages.

I have always thought that using something faster like 11-25-8 would be better than the standard because that would get you into the trade a little bit sooner than everyone else - i.e. those using the standard. I have never tested to see if this works though and not sure how you would test this as the rules are fixed in a manner that you could use in a black and white back testing system.
