Large pivot spreads

On days where the distance between pivots is large many people use the mid points or 1/2 pivots. Has anyone uses 1/4, meaning 1/2 way to a mid pivot in their trading on extreme spreads like we have had this week?

I know that the Pivot Point Calculator computes midpoints but I have never heard of anybody using quarter points although with weeks like this I don't see why not.
