re:emini

hello all,
Im new to this and excited to be honest. A colleague of mine started doing online emini trading on a simulation program and recently switched to the real thing. He showed me the simulation of trading and he was doing well then showed me the actual trading and the same.
My question is this. Is there any places that allow to open an account without the $2000 minimum and a system that is easy to understand to do the trading on? Also does anyone know where i can attain a simulator to learn how to trade eminis first?
I would ask my co-worker but really dont want him in my business.

Ninja Trader has a good simulator that's free.

Infinty futures has a trial simulator. It has a great DOM and you can open an account with $2500.
