Hi,

iam the new guy - let me introduce myself. My name is Marco, 31 years old and located in Germany.
(English isnt my first language, so please forgive me my bad spell and writing mistakes etc.)

I've started trading 1,5 years ago and had the "typical" beginning. Charts full of MA's combined with dozens
of (magic shiny/blinky) indicators, magic auto-systems and strange guru trading rooms. It took some months
to realise that these services a) are not working and b) are not helping me to become a good and successfull
trader.

Deleted all the "magic" stuff from my charts, closed the chatrooms and bought some books about technical analysis
and started from the scratch. In the last month I've spend most of my time in front of the monitors and tried to
apply on my charts what I just had learned. Somehow I discovered that some chart patterns and fibonacci analysis
are "just working". Since then I've tried to find/read nearly everything available about Fibs and patterns to
improve my skills. Somehow, on my researches throught the internet I've found Jims website and ordered his book set.

I have the book set for 10 days now, reading them in the advised order and just finished "Trading ABCD Patterns".
Yep, that are just 2 of 11 books but what I've seen, read and learned so far is absolutly amazing.

Here are some results of my new aquired knowledge:

Germany Dax Future (FDAX):

2 beautifull ABCD pattern formed this week. In the first one I've seen my first .886 ratio ever.

Friday afternoon (european time) and in the morning US timezome we had this major
news-driven upwards move in all major stock future indices (ES, FDax).

I "felt bearish" the whole morning because I thought another bearish ABCD would forming
but didnt wanted to be in a position during the news. Today I did some research and on
what happend friday and found the following:

In the one hour timeframe a bullish pattern formed and also a very nice grouping (including
.236, .382, .447, .618, .886) right there. (Yes, a little stupid to do the homework after it happend ...)

Okay, thats surely enough for a first post and introducing. Thanks for your time and reading.
I'll update this thread from time to time with some text/chart screens and would love to get some
comments here and there. (Plz keep comments on chart patterns, fib drawings etc. strict to the KT methodology. Thx!)

Best,

Marco

That's a good start, Marco. Since we have so little participation in this forum, it's great to have you posting. One really cool thing about the last ABCD that you have labeled is that I see this as a bigger ABCD off the high, with a TD ABCD in the BC leg of that ABCD. Some will see this as an Elliott abcde, which I agree with, but many times I see these ABCD's with a TD ABCD in the BC leg that don't look like an Elliott abcde. Seeing the Elliott abcde as a standard ABCD with a TD in the BC leg is another one of my totally unique concepts, one that adds some info when the Elliott version does not.

Just wait until you read the rest of the books, Marco, and get to the line work that can be done on your charts! I hope you really stick with it.

Hi Marco !
WELCOME to the forum!
keep posting frequently and don't hesitate to ask questions. That can only help you in your learning.
To me I feel blessed and thankful for all the knowledge that Jim has shared with us.Dig through all the archives of this forum and get busy because this is a treasure of quality knowledge and real life trading examples, with plenty of 'in advance' work and well documented real-time events and facts on market trading and KT methods.Good luck!
Things take time to work out but our forum is truly helpful when u actually participate in the discussions.keep persistent,It can get slow or boring or even frustrating at times but this is the only place I know where U discuss serious, I mean serious, very high level trading stuff. You'll find out for yourself anyway.I don't need to hype it up.
By the way, in the beginning with the ABCDs we tend to see them everywhere, that's exciting but confusing sometimes.Go on and read all the books at least a dozen times each, then experiment around , put in the screen time, do the work, be stubborn at it and eventually it'll work FOR you.

Thanks, T, for the posts. I always enjoy and appreciate when you contribute. I know your time is limited, but anything you can do is great. You, roofer, M, the top posters in here, BBJ's insights, Al's charts, without the handful this place would be almost silent. Please keep posting.
