I think I am going to 'purge' the members list and start fresh. I have way too many people permissioned for in here who no longer even read the forum, and many who do but surely don't contribute. If you are reading this but don't post and want to continue to have access, you will need to post in this topic here and request to be kept on the list. Those that have posted recently need not make a request. Here are the ones I can think of that I will not purge. If you are not on this list and you don't post here you will be purged sometime this weekend.

Sorry if I've forgotten anyone, I'm doing this from memory.

I've also been advised by several people that they thought some minimum posting level should be required to retain 'membership'. Something like at least a few quality posts per week (not things like 'Thanks, Jim' and 'Cool, Jim'). That would make membership a participation-based concept. I don't really want to try to monitor everyone, which was a good-sized list, and take all the required actions and contacts and so on. That would be way too much for me to add to my 100+ hours per week I already work. But I am thinking I will purge the list frequently and only retain people who have done meaningful posts since the last purge. We'll see, but I don't think I'll keep things the same going forward.

I am going to continue with ongoing purges of the member list, with the next one due around mid-August. I will then do them routinely. If you are active in here then you will likely not get purged. If you are inactive, then you'll get deleted when I do a purge. If you want back in you'll have to e-mail me and ask to be repermissioned. I'll be doing this regularly to keep the list fresh and filled with only active participants. This doesn't necessarily mean you are posting, but you'll have to be visiting regularly or you'll not show up on the 'active' screening list and will get deleted. Again, if this happens to you and you want back in, you'll have to e-mail me. And as mentioned in this topic, if you think you may get deleted, please post a request in here to be kept on the list (it's much easier on me if you post it in here where I can see all the names in one spot than if you e-mail me and ask me to keep you on the list).
