Well, I did a poll among some of the members and my mentor students, and the consensus was this should be a participation required forum, as I hinted at. One idea came up to allow new members a reasonable period of time to watch (maybe a few months, I haven't decided yet), and then the participation rule goes into effect. Right now I think it will be a minimum of two posts per week, with charts, and they must contribute something to the forum, discuss the methodology, or ask a useful question. I'm not saying I will criticize every post, but if I see anyone posting just to meet the requirement, I will revoke their access. I will not tolerate a post of the ES and a comment like 'the ES sure looks strong today', or a chart with a .382 reversal and a comment like 'the ES reversed at a .382 today'.
With all the books, and time in here, and all the thousands of posts, if you can't even do that, well, I don't know what to say. I know that many of the people that don't contribute have blogs, many are highly advanced and I've seen your work elsewhere, so there is no excuse not to contribute. I'm tired of carrying the ball with just a few other members. So, I will start the purge shortly (which I gave a some extra time for, and only a few people even asked for continued access...), and going forward if you are still on the access list, get ready to participate and carry your weight, or I will cut you off. I'm finally just too fed up to let it go the way it has been. I'd rather be in here with just five serious posters than be watched for years by hundreds who take but just won't contribute to the incredible resource that I feel this is.

Well, now that's interesting. Someone voted this post up, and now it has a zero ranking, so either that person pulled their vote, or someone else voted it down. I guess that someone would be someone who wants to just lurk and take and not give back and contribute in return for all they get? Just a guess. But it is discouraging...

Well, I've decided to suspend the participation required approach. If you don't want to participate, don't. You can just lurk and read, and not contribute if that is your desire. If you feel okay with that (receiving without giving), from a karma standpoint, then just do that. I won' try to force anyone to post. We'll just go back to the way it was. Please understand, though, at times when participation is low I tend to get fed up and not post much, so the price of admission is that you'll have to put up with my occasional ranting and ranving about how much I give and how little I get back (and you'll generally get less posting from me when no one else contributes). Small price for the readers, in my opinion, given how much I do in here.

god forbid roofer returns and starts posting!!!!!( just a joke).....here is a taste from today....for lower price stocks i have a ten cent box, 5 cents on either side of actual .886... for gs, aapl etc , i have a twenty cent box.i think for lesser skilled traders, the focus should be on two things... either a stack of .886's all pointing in same direction and/or finding the .886 at the geometry as was the case today....
