Test

Al Kamego

This is edited topic.

Before I check the "Edit Topic" button, my screen looks like the first attached screen print, with 4 boxes,
1. Show Profile
2. EMail Poster
3. Edit Topic
4. Reply w. Quote

After I check selection 3, "Edit Topic," my screen looks like the second attached screen print. I do not know how to access the original 4 boxes second screen. May have to magnify to see.

Hope this helps.

Okay, so you can edit your own topic, which is as it should be. When you edit it, on the top of the box I have four choices to check:

-Check here to include your profile signature.

-Check here to subscribe to this topic.

-Check here to make this topic sticky.

-Check here to lock the topic after this post.

Which, if any, of these do you have? If you have the last one, check it and hit post and let's see what happens.

Thanks, Al. You only have the first box, which is how it should be, since you aren't a moderator. (I'd think you'd have the second box, though, to suscribe...) I wanted to confirm no one but me could lock a topic. I'll see if jarek finds the same thing as you. That means I must have locked it somehow by mistake, although I can't imagine how, unless there is a hot key that checks that box and I somehow hit that without knowing it.

Let me know if you can reproduce the "phantom locking" Jim and if so I can try and get it fixed.

Also, for testing, what you can do is use one of your other accounts (or create a new account) and then use a different browser (e.g. Firefox or Chrome) to log into the forum with that account and try the same tests that you were asking everyone else to try. That way you can get instant feedback.
