Would someone please explain to me the meaning of the 87 in abcd382/87? I understand the abcd382 part.

Thanks in advance,

Al, roofer's stats say that a Kane ABCD at a .382 exceeds the A point 87% of the time.

Thank you, jim. What a fantastic concise notation! I should have figured that out myself.

Thank you roofer. I certainly appreciate your statistics. I know a lot of hard work went into developing those numbers, and a lot more into developing your concepts.

Thanks again.

rat89 (and everyone else, too), now that you have 100 points, you can vote posts up if you like them or find them useful. You just click on the up arrow on the left of a post. This tells the poster you find the effort worthwhile, so they know what people like and don't like. roofer has said he doesn't like this system too much, and has asked people not to vote him up. I'm not sure if he still feels the same.

The concept was borrowed (other forums have this) to allow people in the public area to vote down spammers and negative people, and vote up good posts, to try to encourage positive behavior and discourage negative behavior. In that regard I think it is a good thing. In here, since we don't have negative posters, it applies mostly as a tool to tell people what we find most useful.

It also helps, I feel, when someone from in here, like roofer, makes a post in the public area, if they have a high reputation number people take them much more seriously, and don't think they are just saying a bunch of stuff, or trying to sell something. If people are more receptive, a post is more effective, I think.

So, everyone who can vote, please vote. Lastly, you don't have to only vote for a current post. If you are studying older posts and find them useful and valuable, give them an up vote. You get twenty votes a day, use them up. If roofer's total gets too high he can mention again to please not vote for him.
