Duuuuuuudes! Slayer wasn't about or part of the "hair metal" thing (I'm thinking the glam part here) ... they fell into the category of THRASH METAL which, at the time, included Metallica, Anthrax etc.

Evidently we've got a few old Metal Heads around here!

MM, don't forget that Slayer still 'is' part of the Thrash Metal Scene, don't forget the Big 4 is touring this summer (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth).

Bruce, on a side note, Megadeth had an album called 'Rust In Peace', so times are a catching up to us.
