JP has been asked this question a number of times: "When do you reverse a trade?"

His answer is that he almost never does. In fact I've never seen him reverse a trade. His theory is "why give up on a great trade that is already working?"

He will continue to take profits on his original position until he has finished all his bullets. His trade can't hurt him at this point because it is in profit and so there is no point in giving up a winning position for what could become a losing trade.

On the downside this does mean that the trade will sometimes go all the way back to his entry and he will have to scratch the final balance but he will still have made a profit on it. He considers himself stubborn at these times and admits that it would have been great to have gotten out at the better profits but we didn't know that it was coming back.
