Before using Market Profile on eSignal we STRONGLY recommend that you set the clock on your computer to EST - irrespective of where you live. This will save you a lot of headache when using Market Profile with eSignal.

After you have contacted eSignal to have Market profile enabled

Click on: File/ New/ Advanced Chart/ Market Profile

Once you have a Market Profile Chart opened you need to change it to the correct symbol and time frame. Click anywhere on the chart and begin typing the new symbol. A pop-up box will immediately open. Finish typing in the correct symbol and make the time interval 30. Click OK.

Using the S&P as an example the symbol is SP H5. At the very top of the chart it should read

(SP H5 – S&P 500 Futures,30) Dynamic, 9:30-16:15

30 refers to a 30 min chart and 9:30-16:15 refers to day session only.

If everything is correct:

1) Right click on the chart and find volume, click on it to uncheck volume

2) Right click on the chart and find cursor, click on cursor to check cursor

3) Right click on the chart and find scaling, click on scaling to remove auto scaling

4) Right click on the chart and find set tick increment, click on set tick increment. In the pop-up window, click the circle next to tick value and enter a value of 0.10 and click OK.

5) Save your page

For the Emini Russell follow the steps above using the symbol AB H5

For the Cash Dow follow the steps above using the symbol $INDU and use a tick value of 1.0

For 30 Year T Bonds use the symbol US H5, time will be 0:00-24:00. Instead of using tick value use tick factor and enter the number 1

For 10 Year Notes use the symbol TY H5, time will be 0:00-24:00. Instead of using tick value use tick factor and enter the number 1

For the Emini NASDAQ use the symbol NQ H5 and follow steps 1-3 above. Step 4 instead of using tick value use tick factor and enter the number 1

In addition to the 30 minute Market Profile charts you will also want to have a 5 and 30 min candlestick chart for each of the markets you want to follow.

Trading the 30 year T bonds we watch the US H5 Market Profile, US H5 30 min candlestick, 5 min ZB H5 candlestick chart. The 5 min and 30 min candlestick charts use 8:20-15:00. We trade the ZB H5.

Trading the 10 Year Notes we watch the TY H5 Market Profile, TY H5 30 min candlestick, 5 min ZN H5 candlestick chart. The 5 min and 30 min candlestick charts use 8:20-15:00. We trade the ZN H5.
