# YMZ1, (3, -1) formula, 5 Dec 2011

Hi,
On a more productive note.....
5 December strategy: Basis YMZ1 (trading December \$5 Dow futures from unchanged) and fading the first counter trend move at the Stretch, i.e., (-1) of the (3, -1) formula, and measuring three Stretch calculations in the opposite direction, i.e., higher, the following price action printed.
12056 - Stretch calculation = 12012 (low = 11999)
12012 + 44 + 44 + 44 = 12144 (high = 12156 as of 10:39PDT)

The stop loss (low) risk calculations that coorelate:

12012 - Stretch = 12012 - 16 = 11996 (low 11999)
12056 - 1.618% Stretch = 11985 = Unchanged - 1.618% Stretch = 11985
12012 - 27 = 11985 = trade entry - 0.618% Stretch = 11985.
ooops.... I gave a poor description of the stop loss strategies that correlate:
0.618% of the Stretch = 27 and 0.382% of the Stretch = 16.
12012 - 0.382% Stretch = 12012 - 16 = 11996 (low = 11999)
12012 - 0.618% Stretch = 11985
12056 - 71 = 11985 = Unchanged - 1.618% Stretch = 11985

... Also, taking the 15:15PDT early A session high rotation leading lower through unchanged, and measuring that 12071 (unchanged = 12056) less 1.618% Stretch = 12071 - 71 = 12000 (11999 = low).
...OOOOOOPPPSSSS... I apologize for my math mistakes, e.g., my calculations were from the open, not unchanged. Add ten points to all numbers and the (3, -1) formula still produced profits. I offset my trade sooner than the full range was printed.
Pardon me for asking but if this is your bread and butter trading strategy, how can errors like this occur, especially if you are posting it (for some reason) on the forum.

My bread and butter strategy requires minimal active thought, i.e. it is just part of the trading conciousness and fits on the back of a business card.
Big Mike,
Not all of Einstein's equations fit on the back of a business card either. lol

Thank God, I'm no Einstein! But to present ideas for people to comment on requires accuracy
