Definition of 'Bid'

The Bid is the highest price that the buyer is prepared to pay at this point in time to buy or go Long the traded instrument. This is also sometimes referred to as the Inside Bid if there are multiple prices at which buyers are bidding. The Inside Bid is the highest price that is bid.
