Michelle Bowman
Michelle Bowman is a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in the United States. She was nominated by President Donald Trump and confirmed by the Senate in 2018 to serve a term that expires in 2020.
Before joining the Board of Governors, Bowman served as the Kansas State Bank Commissioner and was responsible for regulating and supervising all state-chartered banks in Kansas. She has also worked in various roles within the banking industry, including as a vice president at Farmers and Drovers Bank in Council Grove, Kansas.
As a member of the Federal Reserve Board, Bowman has a vote on decisions regarding monetary policy and bank regulation. She is one of seven governors on the Board and serves alongside the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve. Her background in banking regulation and industry experience make her a valuable member of the Board, particularly on issues related to community banking and rural economic development.
