Definition of 'Christopher Waller'
Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Board, Waller served as the Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He has also held academic positions at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Kentucky, where he taught courses on macroeconomics, monetary policy, and financial economics.
As a member of the Federal Reserve Board, Waller has a vote on decisions regarding monetary policy and bank regulation. He is one of seven governors on the Board and serves alongside the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve.
