Christopher Waller is an American economist who is a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in the United States. He was nominated by President Donald Trump and confirmed by the Senate in 2020 to serve a term that expires in 2030.

Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Board, Waller served as the Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He has also held academic positions at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Kentucky, where he taught courses on macroeconomics, monetary policy, and financial economics.

As a member of the Federal Reserve Board, Waller has a vote on decisions regarding monetary policy and bank regulation. He is one of seven governors on the Board and serves alongside the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve. His research has focused on a range of topics related to macroeconomics and monetary policy, including the role of monetary policy in shaping the business cycle, the effectiveness of unconventional monetary policies, and the relationship between monetary policy and financial stability.
