Okay, folks, we need to get organized. Let's drop the old topic for the ES 4-Point CP and start a new topic each day for ES discussion (and we can discuss TF or whatever in the same topic). This way, if we want to go back and look at postings for a given day it will be easy to find, and we won't have a topic with a zillion pages on it. If no one wants to post on a given day, fine. But we'll have a topic if anyone wants to. Sound good? Here's our start for Monday, and I'll try to start a new one before each day. If I forget, feel free to start one, but use the same title format as I used here, please.

Great idea. Let's hope there will be a discussion.

Jim,
While I'm not against the idea of a daily ES topic, I want to point out there aren't that many posters in this forum. So why should we concern ourselves with fear of confusing the non-posters?...what I mean is if you post or follow this forum regularly you'd know the what where when and whys of a given topic, no? Just lookup the date/time stamps etc, not that difficult imo.

I think it's about trying to keep the forum in order. Instead of having one thread with 40 pages, you have one thread per day with regards to daytrading. That way the everyone, posters and non-posters go back to a particular day easily.
Discussion is already off-subject. Maybe we should start a thread talking about a thread, heh heh.

T,

This way if someone is going back for the week, say, to recreate the setups I mentioned, and I refer, as I did this last time, to comments I made intraday at this or that time, they can just go to the day and find them. Otherwise they would have to know where the post was made (and if they are going back say a few weeks or a month, and the topic has 40 pages, it is hard to 'scroll back' because you have no idea what page it is on. I have frequently been frustrated by guessing over and over, trying to get to the right page to look through). Say at some point we started posting intraday in another topic, or in multiple topics on a given day. Then each time I'd have to say where I posted that comment, too. So, I thought it would be organized and simple to have a topic for just intraday ES comments. I also saw them do this in the public forum, organized by days. If anyone has a setup and they want to post it they can still start a topic for that. I guess that was my thinking.

alright alright, let it be so...
So there will be 200+ of daily topics per year to dig through. I'm ok with anything and just going with the flow of things as they come.
You want to get organized? how about weeding out the 'read-only and never-ever-post-anything' crowd ? There should be a quota number of posts to contribute, say monthly, per member, or else u loose KT forum membership privilege and then get booted OUT ! Even if u only post things like 'hi guys, I'm still in here', that'd be fine. But don't tell me someone request membership password from Jim then gets access and then just never post ?
To be honest I had refrained from posting proprietary and innovative things in here because I don't want to feel like im being brain-sucked by non participating parties. I've tried unselfishly to share and contribute but my philantropic side has its limits. Unlike Jim who is such a great person and and an unselfish mind by sharing his vast knowledge and his limited time to help us all in our quest for trading maturity and success.
Anyways, It doesn't matter much anymore because the end of the world as we know it is near .lol..
okay let's roll.

Ouch, T in a dark mood.
Well, maybe I am selfish, too, but I like to work and interact with people and this is the only place I know where I can do that uninhibited. Truthfully, if nobody answered or posted in here I would have stopped already. Right now, it seems like for the most part it's an exchange between Jim and I which is oddly strange. We might as well send each other emails (not that Jim needs to see any of my crap.)
Maybe we should have a private private forum for the posting members only :)

I was actually thinking of having another room for just a handful, but I'm just not sure if it would be worthwhile or not. And then the issue would come up about who gets in, and if someone asked and I said no, they'd be offended, or if they didn't get an invite, and so on. But yes, it is discouraging to have so many watchers and so few posters. I was talking with a student today and he was surprised when I told him the number of people who have been granted access to this forum, he thought it was quite a bit less. The percentage who post is so low it's just crazy. Oh, well.

P.S. T, could you send me an e-mail so I can reply to it, I'm not sure if the old address I have for you is still good (or if I can even find it).
