I started this topic for roofer, who wants to do some posts again in here. This is a 'no politics' zone, and is 'roofer's area', so we all need to respect that if we want him to post. If you have any comments that are outside his specific charts, please do not post them in here. Only specific questions or comments on his charts and charting techniques should be posted in here. The rest of the forum is as usual, with no changes.

the first set of charts illustrates a specific set of charts i have been keeping and trading for myself based onthe open and high low of previous day and the open high low of the actual trading day at that point in time... i have found it valuable to keep these charts out five days....the last chart illustrates a setup i call the 1.618/1 1.618 is always in blue.. 1 is in red....re black boxes.. i have come to see that much of algo trading''black box trading'' is driven by algo's given by our work.. thus i have taken to drawing black boxes on my charts where i look for our tools to come together...in the following series i have stripped my charts down to the sto and geometry....if the geometry and sto come together, the algo computers will hit it...my tools remain the same... simple line, fib. medianlines..... since early february, the gann traders have been in the markets so i have been tracking them also... that is why i showed FAS and SDS.. the horizontal green lines are fixed gann...the BLT trade remains the same... and my favorite continues to be when the red line overlaps line from ml set... on thursday the box trade abcd ruled in spy ... if an abcd completes at fib with sto above 80 or below 20 then 80% of time price will take out extreme of box...if it completes at .382, then the odds rise to 87% from my over 2000 collected examples... a patient trader could trade that one setup the rest of life and do well.below i will include my spy chart.. but the series i will do will be the DDM. i want to show how on the same day the computers were hittng the algo's but in a different way in different indexes.

i live in a world where i trade algo's i think the computers are hitting based on thousands of collected examples. only about once a week do i think big picture.. the rest of time i just hit algo's on the smaller time frames... the 1.618/1 stopped erx on thursday morning... the ,886 on opening gap picked it up on monday morning...

thus at yesterday's high, the 1.618/1 algo set the box ( as in erx example)

, the line sorted the fib, and they both sorted the importance of price at line.

i am just stating the obvious... there were TOO MANY .886 on opening gap the last few days to trade them all.
