Nice play, T. Playing the bigger moves and staying with them. That's my 'style', but I tend to get involved with smaller moves and get sucked into that when the swings get wild on the way.

quote:Just my opinion and approach, but I don't change what I would do for additional shots because of anything that happened leading up to that. It's a new setup, I evaluate it separately, and treat it as its own trade. As far as trigger, there was a nice one, but I'd rather not post it in here (sorry, crew). I'll e-mail you.

and to mitigate the risk by taking both shots, one would have probably had to fade into it at the POC with a minimalstop loss...

quote:Approach is to still give this some room here and see if it has any more, but be ready to continue the scaling process.

Now that's a finish I can't complain about. What a day. Lots of nice movement.

Priming the pump here for some strong upside action in GLOBEX now? Big gap up tomorrow?

This GLOBEX is a lot of fun. Look at those nice trends. Slow, but steady and smooth. The real action is when Europe opens up. It's been worth it lately, in my opinion, to get up for a few hours in the middle of the night for that European open. Look at that GLOBEX chart.

Globex rocks. But you have to be up for it. The overnight trading is a long slugfest challenge. Hard to keep awake if price just sits for hours long. Currencies have decent moves as well but the stop sweeps are just plain evil sometimes. And then U need to keep your stamina and focus up for the regular day session too. It's mentally and physically draining if u do this for a long period of time but eventually u get past the wall and it becomes natural. I've been at it on and off for a few years now and can live off very little sleep.I definitely think I have a sleeping disorder, like insomnia, but that works in my favor in this case,I guess. The thing u have to be careful about is the strain you put on your eyes.Watching the trading screen without rest is not healthy. So for those who may plan on trading day and night, you may want to consider scheduling rest/break time and invest in superior screen quality hardware. And even though my computer video settings cna get very high resolution, I actually set the display to medium res.I found that if I use the max settings the charts graphics get too 'fine' for my viewing therefore making my eyes adjust in order to discern all the details, and that put a lot of tiring stress to the retina muscles. And over a long time U end up getting bad headaches. So more isn't better here.
That's just some tips for those new to all session trading. and I have nothing better to do right now so im typing this text just to kill time i guess...
