Hmmm, futures are down 7.75 points. That seems like an impossibility. I guess they want to run them down so they can get everyone in and then gun it straight up to new highs again :-)

I started this topic again because:

a) We need it, that posting of endless pages in the SPX topic is just crazy, and

b) If I don't do it, no one else likely will.

We've got some people interacting again on the intraday ES, so let's make something of this. Got to strike while the iron is hot.

The problem for me is that this is too small of a pattern with this much downside. If it has more to go without need for more correction, this could be a great spot, but most of the time this doesn't happen, so the odds are poor. It looks great when it does happen, but over the long haul it only seems to pay to use a setup like this if I have a strong conviction a net seller (or buyer for a reverse setup) is still in the market. That's tough to do when it sits on a big bullish pattern in here (although this little bearish setup could play out and drive it to the lower limits of the bullish DT ABCD). One way or another, some clues should be coming soon. Keep an eye on that Euro in here, on a low tick chart, it's starting to move up.

Wow is this weak. But that matters not if the MRRD's show up like yesterday. But those days may be over for now...

In the 'old days', before the MRRD's, I'd say this looks like they want to crush it into the close. In the 'new days', this has led, almost every time, to an explosive trap to the upside. I keep waiting for the day the character changes back...

Yeah, amazingly crappy trading day, it was all done in the GLOBEX. But crude wasn't too bad, so it 'saved the day', as usual.
