That subject line is sure to get everyone's curiosity up. Anyway, I posted this in the last commentary which I just put up, so all of you will likely already check this out even without this link, since I'm sure you all read the commentary, but take a look at this:
http://www.kanetrading.com/webinars/webinars.html
I get so many requests not only for this specifically, but for any additional help that I may be able to give that I began to think about it. Just testing the waters here to see if the core group would have any interest. I will mention that if this doesn't get a response back commensurate with the kind of requests I've had for additional help, then I will not likely be looking at any other offerings down the road, as I will have ther impression that the people that are asking me are 'all talk and no action'. As I mentioned, I'm not really looking for another project, but if there is any way to batch things so I can work less hours and help more people, I'm amenable to at least checking it out. As I say with the market once an area is hit and it starts to react: 'Now we see'.

Hi Jim,
as one of the newer members in here (just finished 50% of the book set) I think that webinars are good
and valueable for members and your students and I really would love to some Interactive/Visual stuff from
your side.
Working me through the books and following the actual market updates here in the forum I more than once wished
you would post some screens with your text. For me as a beginner its hard to put it all together and even find
setups on the charts. Working me also though the "Jim's ES ex post facto setup times"-thread and its a goldmine.
Here I can read and follow what you have seen and your charts and I learned so much of it - but often I also
left confused because I could not find or see your setups etc.
A good side effect is surely that webinar/s could be a good promotion for new members/students.
I really hope to see some webinars in the future, would be fantastic!

Hi Jim,
I would love webinars or maybe even a premium room say in ECHAT from Ensign where only mentor students or book owners can go and post setups. I think it will be easier to follow the trading >>take a snapshot and post comments quickly and then return to trading. Various students can keep track of other setups from different markets. I guess the only choice is would the room be free or would you charge..and I am sure if you charge NO ONE would complain.

As I wrote in an email to Jim :
I am interested in attending the webinars.
I would be interested in webinars where you show the application of the KT methods for intraday trading. (es, cl,…) (although the methods are fractal)
Webinars focusing on trades where you discuss/disect the context, setup, entry trigger, management under different market type conditions (trend, range bound, ..).
All the good stuff you have been talking about in the forum, how you use the the patterns once you’re in a trade, evolved application of the material, similar to Jim’s Trading Commentary but then delve deeper where you had to stop due to the medium used at that time. etc…

So far the feedback I have received has been overwhelmingly positive, with lots of details, and most people are on the same page as far as what they would like. I still don't have enough replies so far to make this worthwhile, but I plan to give it time, as many may have not read the commentary yet, or this post. We'll see. If more people express interest with the same enthusiasm as those that have contacted me so far, it might be a real worthwhile approach.

As one who has done a LOT of one-on-one work with Jim, (new) students should be gasping for air at this proposal. It's awesome.

Thanks, M. I've been pondering this, and although 'webinar' is really a 'format' not an actual teaching style, I was thinking it really should be called 'group mentoring', a term I have seen others use. Regardless, my goal is, as I said, to try to bridge that gap so many seem to have between what they can do with the books and what they might be able to do after working one-on-one with me. Between my time and the lack of the ability for many students to make a big commitment to one-on-one most are being 'left out', and many seem to be stuck right where they are, not making much forward progress, despite the work done in this forum. So, I thought this might be worthwhile. Like I said, though, unless I get more interest I'm not going to pursue it. I think it needs more time for the news to percolate through the entire KT community, and I hope it does. I'd really hate to not be able to follow through for those that have sent me a note, because almost every one read the same, and the enthusiasm was very high (which is a key element I look for).

(Shameless Thread Bump!)
Hi,
this thread was created in the choppy summer holidays / vacation time and some
may have missed this. Would be great to get some more people interested.
The feedback is overwhelmingly positive but Jim has not got that many reactions.
Please let us team up - this chance is to good to miss it.
Jim, let me finish this with a quote from Henry Ford:
“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.”
You may start a webinar with handfull of people, some word of mouth and a few weeks
later people will beg for a seat in the class...

Yeah, or it turns out like the old members' section, which I did for a full year, and never had more than a handful. I did a ton of work, and I mean a ton, for basically nothing. Keep in mind, I have no free time, so to do anything I'd have to cut the little family time I have. I wish I recalled which famous person said this, but he created a product and produced a lot of it, and it didn't sell. He said he would never, ever create a product ever again where he didn't have buyers already lined up. And after doing that members' section, I learned the same lesson.
If I can't get promises ahead of time, I simply am not going to do all it would take to learn how to do it, sign up for services, do all the prep work, and so on, only to find out word spreads and still only a few show up. If I don't see initiative I just can't see doing it. I mean, I said I might consider doing a free week in person, live, if I could just get sixty people to commit. I suggested starting a topic for this. So far, one person (Marco, who is trying to get this topic going) said he'd do it, and no one started a new topic to stir up more interest, in how many days? One person, for a free week of live action with Jim! Point made, it's hopeless, and I'm not going to lose sleep over it. I can't explain why it is the way it is, but I can give up trying to come up with things that more than a handful will show interest in...
