It would be quite a surprise for all the Wave 3 callers if this potential bullish ABCD would play out to the upside...

And yes, intraday very short-term, I did think it was potentially 'worth a shot' on the short side. As I said, I rarely fight against a manipulation ramp, but as an example, if I feel I've done well catching the ramp, and there is an area that seems to have some potential if they did take some profits, I may consider a 'quick' shot at the short side, and jump fast if the price action does anything to 'scare' me. I take these shots because sometimes when they sell it it really gives way.

I won't look at setups like this if I feel there is any realistic chance of significant upside left on the day. I also think perhaps they may bring this back in a little so it is set up better for the Sunday night GLOBEX/Monday ramp. I think the odds are fairly low of any real downside here, but a nice, clean trigger off the area might be able to offer a very good reward/risk ratio, and if that does unfold, that can be the deciding factor for me many times to take the setup or pass on it. Just some thoughts.

Okay, now right in here is where they may come in on this. I want to see if it puts in a lower high, and if so, does it roll into an ABCD, or a 'W3'. And if it doesn't put in a lower high, well, that says it all, and the grind continues. Clue time.

So, this one was pretty basic, and so far has followed the most likely case scenario. It bounced up in a tick ABCD, then rolled over to set a new one-tick low, and then they just exploded it up. Not the kind of price action I want to see if I'm on the short side. It heads up a bit higher than I'd like to see the lower high form, pulls back in a tiny bit, and acts like it is ready to explode. How many clues does one need to see? It then bursts up and over, new high for the move. No real surprise.

But most likely it will now chop around, maybe meander down, and then another burst, and so on. It may do this for the last half hour, especially if it did plan to sell a little, getting anyone who wants to short it to give up. Based on the price action, though, I see almost no chance of anything but a grind up until close. I'd normally say it has no gas left for big bursts up, but this is not a balanced market, and with little participation, it is easy for them to quote stuff it up higher if they want. We'll see. I'd love it if they could just sell it a little to balance it out a bit...

It does look like 'risk on' until close. Even crude is still rising again strongly. Very impressive.

Those are two nice setups you highlighted, eric, and really were great spots for positioning for the ongoing run, or as add-ons from the morning play.

Thanks Jim...sometimes the volume charts are clearer as with all this manipulation these days...but with a trained eye the methods are there.

my apologies to all;but, i simply think interms of the geometry...coming into today there was abcd that had completed at .382 inQQQQ and had nottaken out the 87% swing.... odds were in favor of new low... yet in my prep last night, clear revesal areas were waiting to be hit, either the.886on gap on 5 or the trade...they were hit and reversed the market... then the market traded to..886's with good geometry.... i dumped my longs and took a long in the TZA, with a tight stop...price moved nicely....i have said here many times that THE NUMBER ONE WAY I KNOW A TRADE HAS LOST ITS EDGE IS IF THE VERY FIRST THING THAT HAPPENS IS KANE ABCD SETS UP AGAINST IT.the odds drop to 13% if the abcd completes at.382.. that is what happened and price respected the geometry the rest of day and traded to targets....

i have enclosed the tza trade....it is remarkable that even on the one minute, the logic of our work was there.... even though the odds had dropped to 13%, i gave the trade a little more room until the test and retest setup.. at which point the logic of the geometry said to reverse...i was gone from the short side....
