I wonder what are the chances that our "locomotive" will stop all of a sudden just here:

If it reaches this upper ML it will not only retrace the whole 2008 debacle, but also should get to this downsloping parallel on the monthly chart, which marked the 2007 top:

I simply don't see any meaningful targets in between...

My goodness! A Kane EXP ABCD completing at 0.564 fibo, a Kane DB ABCD completing at 0.564 fibo, a Spike Line, a Kane DT ABCD completing at 0.618 fibo, nice ML Upper // touch near "X marks the spot,"at 1.125 and 1.618 fibo, ML Lower // touch, a "mod to Tim's 80% rule" at 0.685 fibo.

It looks like "the tools are working better and better."

It looks like price is making "bee-lines" between turning points.

So my bullish ABCD failed, but just to 1.272 and there is no follow through. Looks like this market doesn't want to fall either:

There was also a bullish 3D at LOD and green set quickly did its job:

To get it into right perspective: over the last 3 days we have just corrected .300 of the smallest swing:

This is how I see ES now: flat ABCD that played out to 1.272, immediately followed by 1.272 DT ABCD:

roofer, I know at least one is. The others haven't answered me back as to how they found me... Thanks for all the effort.

That's a great summary, roofer, I think it hits the nail on the head. And when we combine our approaches in one forum (mine via jarek's posts and my comments), one has a very broad view of a large set of skills, and they can pick and choose and hopefully find their own unique combination and approach for them. I think that's the biggest benefit to the forum.

jim and all-
i have been contacted by a number of traders asking about jim's work.
here is exactly what i tell them.

flat out , i can not do what i do without my knowledge of jim's work.and i can not show you my complete work because i can not show you crucial aspects of his work.but know this. the way i trade is not in jim's books. jim is a trend trader;i use the tools to try to capture the swings at their extremes. EVERYTHING i do has been shown at jim's forum, access to which you get when you buy his books.

jim- i never bs them.... i say i cant' show you the trend continuation patterns... so how can i show you what i mean when i say the best way i know if a setup is going to fail is if a kane pattern sets up against it? how can i show the use of fib if jim has at least six fib i have seen nowhere else thus i can't show you?then i honestly tell them everything i teach is archived with hundreds of examples at the forum..then they decide.

So, I heard that move up today in cotton took out the 150-year civil war high, and set an all-time high. Wow.
