Looks like a critical spot right here, either the bulls ragain control or the bears take over. It should be more clear by the end of the day.

Could this have been a final shakeout?

This is indeed a very curious spot in here, with the announcement coming up. This looks like it is about to dump hard. That tells me they plan to take it up (maybe after an initial dip to trap some people). Yet I could see the FED disappointing everyone here. I tend to think they will do way more than even hoped for, but maybe not. Maybe they do the twist, as expected, and mostly that's it. If so, I could see one heck of a sell-off.

Notice, too, the bullish flat ABCD here on the 240-min all-sessions chart.
