I have no life... I'm starting this topic early because I am sitting around, waiting for Sunday night GLOBEX and my world to begin again...

Look at the right sides of the tick charts for ES, CL, 6A, and GC right now. Hmmmm.

Gold sure looks to me like it wants to start another leg up. I wonder if that's a good read, or if they are trying to make it look that way to suck people like me in? It looks so obvious I'm wary. "'Will you walk into my parlour?' said the Spider to the Fly."

Wow, look at the Aussie. It just popped about 60 pips in less than one second by my charts. I guess they liked that GDP report.

For gold I'm watching around 1670 next. Then the low 17's. If it continues up I can refine this.

If we get that gold pop I will be watching silver from 32.00 to the low 32's.

ES looks ready to pop here, as it sits right at several key lines and this ABCD. I think it strongly wants to assert itself as a 'W3'.

Let me just say, if I'm long and in management mode here, I'm essentially not even slightly worried as this hits a key pattern and area here. Not even the tiniest bit worried. That, I guess, doesn't mean much, in that whether I worry or not doesn't really change anything, it does what it does, I manage how I manage according to the 'Trading Plan', and that's that.
What I'm saying is that although this may respect the area, and even head down, I can't imagine being more unconcerned with that possibility than I am now, just based on what I am seeing. Usually that means my read is dead on, or that they are creating a huge sucker trap across the risk asset board. I don't think it's anything in between. All or nothing. Dead right, or dead wrong. For me, this is the fun part, awaiting the answer, learning more about the craft.

There it is!!! Another quick 5 points in a pop. 1296 so far. The read was good, it wasn't a trap, this thing is strong. Let's see if that pop on volume climaxes this, either temporarily or totally. I can't imagine anything stopping this freight train right now.

Loopy Jim. I need more sleep. Lots more sleep. I was just sitting, watching the news on TV, pondering my day with the markets, when it hit me I had been off by one cycle in identifying the ES contracts in my posts. I was saying Mar like it was the ending contract and June like it was the upcoming rollover contract, when I meant June and Sept, respectively.
No one called me on it (if you see something like this please post a comment so I can get it straightened out). I'm sure everyone knew what I meant, and the highs I mentioned, with their numbers, would have made it clear which contract I meant, but anyway, I fixed it in the posts where I saw it. I think I got them all, but if not, feel free to point it out to me.
When I was much (much) younger I was into motocross racing. Like all the major endeavors in my life, I do things 110% or not at all. I had a T-shirt back then that I still remember word for word what it said: We eat, sleep, ride, talk, breathe, dream, live and love motorcycles. I need a new shirt now that says: We eat, sleep, ride, talk, breathe, dream, live and love the markets. The 'ride' part is especially apropos. I thought of this because before I remembered my Faux Pas with the contract dates I was going to post:
Like I mentioned last week, I have no life outside the markets. Here I sit, on a Friday night, my better half sitting there probably wishing I'd come up with something for her and I to do, and all I can think about is how am I going to make it to Sunday at 3 PM?...
