The Euro spot FX is trading flat right now, but the Aussie appears to be up like 35 pips or so, if my data is correct. If that is right, then it would indicate a nice little ES pop on the open.

Probably nothing will ever happen, right? As all the bulls say, the economy is doing great, housing has finally put in a bottom, and the European thing is way overblown (just ask Carl). So, this is probably just chicken little the sky is falling scare-mongering, right? Right?

And for those that prepared and bought gold (something I have felt for years was a critical part of planning for what is coming), imagine the shock when the system gives way and they confiscate it, as they have before.

But don't worry, you all have houses and land, right? Until they ask for the taxes, which you won't be able to pay. Then they'll take that, just as they did in the Great Depression. After having studied this for many years now, and used all my intellectual skills (and not bragging, but I think they are many), I've come to one unnerving conclusion. Understand that this is just one man's opinion, and nothing more.
There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that any of us can do to protect ourselves, and not only that, it must be that way, it is baked into the system.
It is sad and scary, but when I finally grasped how the system works, it became clear that nothing we could do would be allowed by the system. Every last resource must and will be consumed as the system tries to sustain itself until the last moment. There are no ethics, no regard for pain, no pity, no remorse, absolutely nothing except it will suck every last resource to its last dying breath. This is just a fact in my opinion. Anything less would make no sense. I said it many years ago and can only modify it slightly now (in parenthesis):
Greenspan (and company) will be responsible for more human suffering than Hitler.

This is really interesting, since there is no talk that Iran could be hit soon. None whatsoever. It seems impossible. And if they are, oil should soar. That would really move the markets. I'm just posting these things in here instead of the economics section because I think they are relevant to the potential market action as we get to such crucial areas.

I agree 100%. Maybe only I would put Obama together with Greenspan and others. I read Martin Armstrong for many years now. He was writing about it from prison for a long time. I am sure people in US will fight sonner than later as what is happening with law in US is just amazing. But not only in US. Sad but true.

Hey, tomo, I didn't realize anyone outside the U.S. (or even within it) was aware of the changes in U.S. laws, and beyond that, the complete breakdown of the rule of law here. It seems everyone is just oblivious to what has been happening. For example, read this for a typical type of thing:

No one knows, and no one seems to care. In the U.S. the government has been stockpiling ammunition like crazy. I just read that the weather service and Social Security are stockpiling like crazy. I forget the exact numbers, but like seven bullets for every man, woman, and child in the U.S. Social Security and the weather service need huge quantities of bullets? Why? Yet no one knows, cares, or would dare do anything even if they did. When the s#%& hits the fan, we won't have a prayer.
And, even though this is a trading thread, since we have almost no posts about trading going on, I'll add one more thing. I used to think once it all went down, we'd all have a fighting chance not to be totally outwardly enslaved (we are already enslaved, trust me, just not outwardly). Now I realize we have zero chance. I read about some 'non-lethal' weapons the gov/military has, designed mostly for 'crowd control'.
Get a load of two of them. One is a sound weapon, it generates a frequency that is so painful (not just in the ears, but in the entire body) that it can drop entire crowds to their knees screaming in agony just by pointing it at them. Next is the 'microwave' weapon. Point it at a huge crowd and it boils you in your skin. Said be be a bit painful (that's a sarcasm). They compared it to a piece of chicken in a microwave. Just point it at a huge crown and literally (literally) boil them alive.
Yeah, when it all comes down we have a chance. A chance to get in line, do what they say, and exactly as they say, or we are done. To think we will go to the black market and trade part of our gold hoard for food, gasoline, etc. is comical. Recall during the world wars what happened when soldiers came to houses. They were there for all the food. They rarely left anything. You think the good ol' gov will allow food stockpiling? Too funny.
When it all comes down (and I may be wrong, but I give that a 100% chance at some point, not 99.9999%), we will have little hope.
My point in all this? We are in the eye of the storm. This will end. And for those survivors, we will look back and ponder how incredible this time was. How great it was. So I say to all, please enjoy this. Spend time with your family. Hold them close and tell them that you love them every day, multiple times a day. A huge asteroid is headed right for the earth, nothing we can do can stop it, and nothing can stop what havoc it will wreak when it hits. All we have now is the relative normalcy until it hits. Please make the best of it.
