Starting it off.

I keep trying to think how do do something with the KT project. It's so 'dead' right now, it gets to be a weight around my neck. The 'carrying costs' are the same whether it's dead or poppin', so when it's dead it seems such a waste. But, the trading world, for private traders, seems pretty much non-existent. I'm thinking, then, that any attempt to do anything with the project is totally futile. It still seems like some places have some following, but I guess, in reality, those are just a group of people, probably making money in some other fashion, or who have money and don't work, and like to play at trading, and they just gather there. They aren't people who want to learn to trade full-time by developing world-class skills via hard, hard work (like neurosurgeons, professional athletes, etc.).

I'm afraid I'm a dinosaur, the last top of the line chariot wheel maker... It really sucks to know what I know, and have a crew of a few, and most of those haven't seen any of the new stuff. I'd think, with the skills I have, I'd have ten or twenty really wealthy, driven individuals who migrated to my area just to be able to have face time with me, and we all meet and discuss this stuff regularly. When I was younger I was willing to move anywhere in the country for a job (and I did, when I finally got an offer in the field I so desperately wanted to work in), and I wanted to even take a job overseas. Back then, if there was someone in that field who had skills like I do, and they would work with me in person indefinitely, I would have moved in a blink. Be part of a team, a club, of traders working on cutting edge stuff as it is developed. But, in a world of about seven billion people, no such interested persons exist...

Hi Jim. I just wanted to ask one question having your 'new stuff' in mind. Is the material in your book set still relevant to todays market? Or maybe new stuff completely removed the 'old book content' from reality?

I just really want to make it clear for me if participating and reading forum these days has any sense without knowing 'new stuff' :)

I have a different take on this.....having wealth does not make an individual more likely to want to learn how to trade....in fact it may make an individual more likely to listen to the advice of a group of experts in wealth management.....not sure what accounts for the lack of interested traders, but in my mind it doesn't really matter. I would rather have a small focused group than a large disinterested group.

69 looks really nice to me. But I'm not sure if this level is enough to get stops placed above 67.50 local high.

The Aussie. Area shown in M120 chart looks like a short-term play in the wider context.

Hey Tomo,

I get this question a lot lately, given how I more frequently talk about how much I've discovered since the last book was written. It's been nine years, believe it or not, since the last book. For someone like me, I keep discovering, and the base that I have to work with keeps growing, so if the discoveries are proportional to that base, the volume of discoveries keeping getting bigger per year. If anything, I am also learning how to better learn about the market, so I am discovering at an even faster pace. Hence, as one can imagine, I have learned a massive, massive amount of new stuff since the books.

That being said, the books are still the core foundation that I build on for mentoring. Some things have been refined or 'updated', but I can't teach anyone anything if they don't have the book fundamentals down. They are the basis for all the newer discoveries. In my opinion, those concepts will have value across time, in any tradeable market, regardless. The core, fundamental principles I showed there will always be the basis for the KT methodology, in my opinion. There's a saying that says 'You have to walk before you can run'. The books are the walking part. The material in the mentoring is the run part. The material in the advanced mentoring is the 'warp speed', to draw from Star Trek. Just like doctoring and being a neurosurgeon, it's hard to learn to do that entirely from books. Hard to do it without books, and hard to do it completely from books.

As far as in here, the discussion is still based entirely on setups found via the techniques in the books. It's just a question of refinement and additional aspects built from the book techniques. And rat, for example, his techniques and approach are entirely his own. His foundation is very heavily roofer style, which, as everyone should know, is not my style. Marcin's style is lined up closely with mine. There's not a lot of 'discussion' in here otherwise, at least lately. I think the forum has lots of value for those without the new stuff, but I want it to have value for those with the new stuff, too, so I add in comments to signal them what to look for without revealing proprietary info.

I hope this helps.

Let's see if they finish it off with one more push to new highs for the day and move. Technically I'm not sure they can/will, but I hope so.

ES rising again (hard), after that vicious 1-min shakeout. It does seem to be set up nicely for Sunday open. We shall see. I'll be watching the little mini session at 1:30 PM, given this was exploding into the futures close there. Normally the mini session opens a little down and just sits, but today, it may pop up and take out the local high there.
