Champing at the bit. Can't wait for tomorrow. Wish I had a little bigger following with more participation...

Anyway, it's time for this range to resolve, but it may mean sweep time first, maybe both sides. They don't always sweep, but they often do, in my experience.

Okay, they touched the range bottom, and now it's exploding up to the top of the range. It gives me the impression it will just be up and over. I want to record that so I can assess, after, what they were trying to make it look like.

Okay, range now taken out to the upside. Now we see if that was a sweep, or if it's like they made it look. The new all-time high is just a few ticks away, too.

One tick away... Remember the 1-2-tick game. But, I can't imagine after this many tries it rolls over here.

Notice how I 'knew' it was time for the range to end?

So, they pushed the bottom of the range, then swept the stops topside, and close cash in the range. Not unexpected.

BTW, I thought it was worth a shot, for the experienced, nimble trader, to get short after the stop sweep up seemed to run out of juice. This is not the usual setup I look for, or teach about, but isn't an out of the question potential trade, either. The big downside is being exposed to the market for perhaps a long time until this starts to play out (if it does play out, that is). The 'trade o' the day' was right at that fantastic confluence at the LOD, though. If you do the work it jumps right out (it wasn't an ABCD, though).

And maybe the short plays out quicker than the 'wait it out for the European open and the overnight to come into play' deal.

I was cleaning up a chart of the area for this AM's low so I can show it to a student this weekend, and I and just amazed at how many things were there and how tight an area it really was.

Very funny and apropos comment from over at Slope of Hope:

"Please stop using the term "bears". There are no bears. Only bulls and people who used to have money. Comprende?"
