I have just receive a message that the price for my charting software is going to increase. Interesting, in light of the fact that they are not investing any effort in upgrading it...

I was going to post on that but figured why bother. Another increase. I just got an increase notice for Dow indices. Before that, lots of other increases. And, if you notice, on the first of the year, many increases in exchange fees, again. But a) the Fed and gov keep saying there is no inflation, and b) the Fed says we need to be paying more for everything, a lot more. Jim and Marcin and the rest are not paying as much as they need to be for things. I won't even mention what my medical insurance did this year, since I still can't get over it.

All my utility bills went up this year, most of them multiple times in one year (which has been the norm). Insurances way up. Food costs, well, I don't want to talk about it. Many are nearly double from just a few years ago. Yep, looks like 'deflation' from where I'm standing. And I don't want to hear about how gasoline has come down so much. I'm still paying double what I was not so many years ago. All the people I know that are renting, well, rents are blasting off at new all-time highs. People I know that rent a crappy 1-bedroom apartment are paying three times what I was paying on my AZ house. And I have to listen to the Fed tell me all this isn't real, and I need to pay more, lots more, for everything.

Imagine what happens when credit really contracts i.e. we actually have some 'deflation'.

Anyway, the anecdote: MyPivots, a monstrously famous and popular website, has had zero posts outside the KT private area for the entire month on November, a month I consider the trading to be 'as good as it gets', and 'as much as I could ever dare ask for' as far as trading action. What does that say about the depth of the market action, and what is going to happen when 'they', for whatever reason, turn the machines off, or can't turn them on for some reason? We all know the answer to that one...
