Let me clarify. It looks super-weak to me. But sometimes we see this pattern where it oscillates on an upward slant, basically a running 'basing' effect, then it goes. We've even seen this on the much higher timeframes. This is set up for that. But my gut says it can't get off the floor. It's interesting, that's for sure.

Here's one for you. On a closing basis if the NASDAQ composite closes here it will be the lowest close since Oct '14! Not Oct '15, Oct '14. I'm sure they won't make that fact too public.

failed breakout on the 30 minute.....one thing I knew to aim for was the double break of the first hour range on a fed day. I only remember one in the past couple of years with only a single break. Sometimes we get a triple break. But about 90 - 95% are double breaks. Meanwhile, spx hit its head on the falling ema 13 on the daily, and now has four up/down/up/down bars, looking like a version of Jim's "chop in the low end of the range". My question is: how far can they bounce it overnight and tomorrow?

Okay, that's a 2 year, 3 month new low for the NASDAQ composite there, on a closing basis (which 'all' the technicians say is all that counts on a daily chart). I'm guessing that fact will not be discussed endlessly on bubblevision.

But here is another factoid you won't hear. Really, have you heard this? The recent closing low on the Russell is the lowest close since July3, 2013 (and June for intraday basis), and the Russell is now off its highs by 26%! Bet you won't hear that too often.

Midcaps, Sept '13 since the recent intraday low, and down almost 22% intraday.

I still see a scenario where the hold the recent low around 1876 to send it higher to complete a corrective abc up into 1960 area before resuming the down trend in a big way. It's so tricky, because the area where jumped it today is so key, and could send it down to around 1780 in a flash. Fascinating.
