Paper trading. Started out yesterday morning getting stopped out of a GOLD long call. Broke even on an IBM long call, and lost some on a NVDA put. I am a fool for NVDA!
Watching market reaction around meeting times, trying to make a buck. Here is an XLE Sector chart, the EIA meeting info per ECONODAY.
The five minute chart shows a gap down at the 11/6 open, followed by an 0.886 fibo retrace and a downtrend. Looks like an example of roofer's "pound on the table" "gap on 5 at geo"

Paper trading. More of watching market reaction to meetings and reports. I missed this 5%-ish move up in UGAZ. There was an EIA Natural gas report at10:30 ET.

Things I look for in a BUY.
1. Relative Low.
2. PMO line crosses above PMO Signal Line (PMO is similar to MACD)
3. ADX < 25 - my preference
4. +DI crossos above -DI
5. +DI crosses over 25
6. There is an 8ema crossing above the 20 ema in there, but I could barely see it.
Missed this trade. Maybe I should add another step - Be prepared to pull the trigger.

spx daily – price at upper line, and:
2940.91 – 2346.58 = 1.27 at 3101.38

at the high this morning, iwm went one penny over a .886 retrace of the Tuesday high to yesterday low:

spx with nymo and vix....new high for spx and nymo went negative by the end of the day, with a negative divergence....there is also a negative divergence between spx/ spy and iwm, with iwm at the inverse fib retrace of the spx external - .786 vs 1.27. A sharp move down could come out of nowhere here.
