Mary Daly

Mary Daly is an American economist and the current President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. She assumed this position in October 2018, succeeding John C. Williams.

Daly has been with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco since 1996 and has held various leadership positions within the bank, including Executive Vice President and Director of Research. She is also a member of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), which sets monetary policy for the United States.

Daly is known for her expertise in labor economics and inequality, and has written extensively on issues related to workforce development, job training, and social mobility. She has also been a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion in economics and has worked to promote greater representation of women and underrepresented minorities in the field.
