List of Market Profile graphics programs

I should have thought about looking here first. CBOT licenses Market Profile so that would be an obvious place to go for a list of Market Profile providers.

At the time of writing this the following link would take you to a list of MP Providers:
http://www.cbot.com/cbot/pub/page/0,3181,1183,00.html

In an attempt to create a list of Market Profile software out there I have created this topic. Please add the URL, name and anything else you know about a Market Profile application to this topic.

So far, real time MP graphics packages that I've heard of:
http://www.esignal.com/
http://www.windotrader.com/
http://www.sirtrade.com/market.htm

http://www.atrader.demon.co.uk/

i haven't tried it out yet, but looks promising. i may end up giving it a whirl ... i'll post any feedback if i do try it out.

also, www.marketdelta.com has more of a volume profile histogram than true MP function, but may be worth a look. i use MD and like it a lot. i love being able to see 'inside' the price bars on the footprint chart.

not really sure where to post this, so i will put it here

it's actually a market i'm interested in, instead of a prog. any chance of adding DAX or even $DAXI (via esignal) to the daily notes? i'm very interested in applying MP to the DAX and it is a very liquid instrument. i just started going over some $DAXI MP charts tonight (i don't have the Eurex feed in esignal, so this will have to suffice, at least for now) and saw many typical MP patterns (spikes, gaps, DDTDs, etc.). considering the considerable volatility of this instrument, i have to admit i was a bit surprised.

anyway, just a thought ...

BTW: if the moderator feels there is a more appropriate location for this post, i am confident he will make the necessary changes
Thanks for the suggesions omni. I've had requests for many symbols in the Daily Notes and plan to make the Daily Notes more flexible in the future and allow the user to choose what they want to see and add many more instruments. I'm still trying to work out the best way to implement this enhancement. Thanks for the comments.
Ok, stupid and cheap way to get MP...Using my Active Trader program via Fidelity, I can chart S&P (.SPX) with volume at each price point for any time period. I imagine other trading platforms have this ability. Then, transform the numbers to reflect futures price differential...Since volume is cash market, not futures, this data must be analyzed differently for use in futures trading.

I think the premise of MP is understanding/demonstrating orderflow. At what price and who is behind this orderflow. As a pit trader anytime Goldman Sachs had large orders this orderflow was usually "wired" to near term direction of price/implied volatility/etc. You can create programs that attempt to capture this orderflow but there are usually too many variables. With so many markets available and very few of them being primary markets its easy to hide the if you're smart money. one app I came across on the cbot.com website is alphagraphics alpha platform (another one is mdanalytics). this app gets cti data direct from the cbot and breaks it down for you in a easily viewable manner. Its about $180/mo for the data. MD is about $200/mo. Stiedlmayers Capflow32 is $5k/yr last I checked. Capflow32 is very subjective, imo. I think the focus should be more on cti data (which unfortunately is only avail from cbot) and less on MP and MP patterns.

Y, I used Capflow32 and Capflow3.7 for about 6 months. Steidlmayer is a big proponent of self discovery. Therefore theres no documentation on the use of the software or its features so you spend quite a bit of time discovering these features. I spoke to Steve quite extensively and he was very helpful. I met with Pete once to see how he uses the software. He focuses almost exclusively on the 0-4 program. Which is one of the main features of CapFlow32. The idea is to monitor for cashflow and not to worry about day to day fluctuations in the price of the future/stock/composite(x-fund). Capflow32 includes the Page2 Marks within the gui. This is the main difference between 32 and 3.7. Also 3.7 seems a bit more win95 based and 32 seems to be written for win2k. Overall I would recommend CF32 if you have the $5k/yr lease fee (upfront) and if you have alot of time to delve into all the features. Its my understanding that the X-Funds which are/were traded on Globex are managed by traders who were trained by Steve, Pete and Jim Miclot. The ability to create any type of spread/composite is another great feature of the software. Jim recommends using 3 or 4 totally unrelated products for best results. Theres alot more to CF32 that I havent mentioned.
the Medved bros. over at www.quotetracker.com are developing their own version of a TPO chart. it's a work in progress, but it's really coming along. you can use it free with adverts or pay $60/year for no adverts and hook it up with a broker data feed and BAM! you're in business.

Thanks omni - excellent to know.

I don't think that we have the Investor/RT on our list from LinnSoft. Here is their demo page for TPO charts:

Thanks crabbydog. Here is a page on their site written by Michael Jardine of Enthios that discusses trading with Ensign's Price Histogram study and the Virgin Point of Control (POC).
