Looks like no economic news can stop the bulls these days. It would have to be something much, much bigger, but also then they may use it just as another buying opportunity on the way up.
For now let's see how they cope with some little overhead resistance somewhere at current levels:

ES back to the grind TL. It has to bounce here, or they may crush it into the close.

And bounce it they do; there's the new RTH HOD off that. And gold still smokin'. It had a new all-time settlement high today I just heard.

Notice, once again, as has been typical for this grind, the ES dumped right after hitting a nominal new high. One of these times the dump is going to be for real.

Holy c#$&. GC just broke loose, must have hit some stops, it just went to 1429 (basis Feb) instantly. My long intraday setup in GC looks great now.

$XAU another all-time new high today. My ABX ABCD setup on 11/16 was one of the best. NEM was also pretty good.

Came within 85 cents or so of that 1.128 today...

This "reversed" green set in ES looks pretty interesting to me. The green ML will be running away at decent pace if the price wants to catch it:

Yes, and that's a great SL, if the market wants some down in here. What's curious to me is that I have two old lines from way back that intersect with the ML at around 1210 at 20:00-21:30 tonight. I'm not saying it is likely or anything, just interesting, and something I'd surely watch if it did happen. The obvious 1.272, too, is at 1209.26, and the second most obvious ext ret has the 1.618 at 1210.53. I also have another key number at 1209.76. The .300 from the big low is at 1210.75, and the .685 from another key swing-point is at 1209.95. I also have a major set line right in there. There is more work, but that's enough. I'm just building on jarek's idea, showing what I see in line with that.

Wow, the ES is moving down nicely, and at this pace it would hit the above mentioned area at about the above mentioned time. Very curious... Watch the obvious TL on the way there, it hits around 1218, depending on the time it takes to get there.

All that cool stuff above being said, I think this is most likely a correction, perhaps a flat/4PT hybrid, and up it goes. Based on the look of it right now, it will be at new highs very soon. Just a thought.

It had to get one tick higher!
That also got it to the exact 1.272 at 36.20 on that ABCD. So, we got a weekly close essentially at the high tick for the week, the month so far, and the entire 'bulls#$&' market. Those poor bears, still trying to call the top. For me, I'll just keep creating 'ride the long' plays.

It's the bulls time in the sun. I'm not going to fight that. I just saw in a Bloomberg survey not one single analyst was bearish on next year. 100% bulls! I'm seeing 'breakout' and acceleration calls everywhere. Sentiment is extreme for the bulls. It can get more extreme, or stay extreme for a long time. The $VIX is dragging on the lows, but can get lower.

Midcaps one good trading day from new all-time highs. Russell, Transports, etc. right behind Midcaps. The entire drop from the crisis erased, new all-time highs. Unreal. It's the bulls time to shine. Let them enjoy it, as it won't last. The bears will shine again, just not today. Goin' with the flowin'...
