This is already 70 points straight down. If this rising TL doesn't stop this, it could go much lower:

You need 100 points to vote... And we can't give you any points in here... And it costs one a point to vote a negative, so someone who voted a post or two down, and then lost all their positive points, now has a negative score forever. Even though we all know this and understand this, I can still see how that may feel a bit degrading. I apologize to everyone for this, but I don't control the forum, so there is nothing I can do about it.
Perhaps I should ask Guy if he will reset all of us to zero? Or maybe 100? Then we could all at least do up arrows? Or, probably better, set everyone to zero so no one can even do arrows, and we can forget all about that and just do posts and verbal comments on what we think of posts. I don't know. Trying to make the best out of a tragic situation...
Also, we could set up a topic in the KT public area, and everyone could make ten comments (or whatever it takes to get them over 100), and I could vote them up. Then we could all do arrows in here? I don't know... It's just sad.

I think starting a public topic to get everyone 100 points and let them vote is a good idea.
Even if we don't make one's reputation higher by voting his posts up in the private area, a point next to the post is recorded. This is the most efficient way of letting people know that we found their posts useful.
For people posting here, especially less experienced, feedback is also important in my opinion. Especially, when one doesn't get any votes to his work, he has a reason to think it over.

If enough people think at least being able to do arrows is worthwhile, I'll ask Guy if he can bring everyone up to 100. That would save us from being exposed in the public area to the haters who may attack us, thinking what we were discussing wasn't worthwhile, even though it would be in my own area. I prefer we all stay away from the public area, because the risk is just too high. All the people that viciously attacked me are still out there. I just think it is wise to avoid them. So, I think I should start with Guy, and go from there. But only if enough people think they want the arrows to make it worth pursuing.
