Just over three hours. I can't wait... Lots of action over the weekend, including the 'big' Spanish bank bailout. Here's some food for thought. It's essentially identical to every comment on the topic I've made since the '09 bottom. As an intelligent investor I hear the news of a huge, monster (proportionately it's about double the size of our TARP) bailout of the ever so important Spanish banks, and I want to sell everything I own. Shoot first, and ask questions later. If it's that bad, I'm 'a steppin' aside'. But, I think there is a good chance this thing gaps up 20+ points. That is extra significant because we are in a key area. It may have one more little push up, or it could happen where it has already hit. Anyway, the market rockets up, through a brick wall area, on super bad news?
The logic is actually there. I still am caught up in the myth that it's a free market, that it discounts actual value, and that investors will be making decisions on the news. Wrong, in my opinion. It is nothing but manipulation. The powers that be will, of course, instruct their primary dealer minions to spend some of those trillions they are stealing from you and I to gun this up on the bad news, in order to prevent panic, scare hedge funds silly, and create an atmosphere of the market being thrilled to pieces with the bailout. Hence, all is, or will be, well. See, that's the game we actually have.
Combine this with a record short interest in the Euro and a short squeeze there is an accident waiting to happen. And Euro exploding has, since the '09 bottom, meant 'risk on'. This thing is all set up for a big leg up, as insane as that sounds (and is, in my opinion). And it would distress me tremendously if this great area is 'blown out'. But, alas, I am fully expecting these filthy scumbags will do it. To me it's tradeable no matter what it does, but some things would be easier for me to stomach. About three more hours and we'll know...

There it is! Pushing the very top of the area. Any more and the next level is within easy reach.

Holy crow, is that nuts, or what??? That is just nuts. It pushes the area hard, to the max, the cash gets ready to close, and they hammer it. 3.00 points off in a blink. I know that's not much, but this has been a narrow range day, with the 60-min opening range just 5.50 points. Look on a 1-min or 13-tick chart to see that dump. Crazy.
So, it did respond aggressively to the key area, after pushing it hard, but is this just a small reaction and then up and over? Gap up Sunday night, way over it? Or is this a hint? Or is it just OpEx nonsense? As I always say, I can't wait for Sunday. As for today, I was pretty happy with the tradeability and outcome for such a crappy day.

The rampers won't quit. Right back to the HOD. Are they going to do a last two minutes illiquidity pop?

Here's something to ponder. I truly 1,000% believe this will be our fate (and the fate of essentially all nations), just likely not quite yet. Soon, but not quite yet (although a triggering event and it could be instantaneous).

38.50 on the illiquidity pop into the futures close!!! Close enough to what I said? You-betcha! Another incredible read on my part. If this had fifteen seconds more I think it would have added those few more ticks to fully hit the level I posted. Note the SPY traded up a bit higher once the ES closed, and that would have had the ES hitting the area I mentioned dead on in full. Just insane.

SPY right back to the high, again. I think this is the tell, like last time, for a huge gap up on Sunday. But, it depends on the commitment this weekend to print up a few extra trillions and give it to the banks to put into the stock market. I can't imagine them not doing it, after all the yapping about it they did. So, the Greek elections will turn out great, no hint of a Grexit, but the printers want to print, and will be scared the market may drop five points if they disappoint, so I'm thinking they print anyway. Then we get a 20-30 point gap and go. Just a guess. In a fair world they do nothing, and the market craters. Good luck with that one.

SPY hits another new high. Maybe someone got some insider information on how much they will be printing this weekend?
