Let's start the week with this funny article. My answer to the question, laugh or cry, is definitely cry. I have seen a similar article about Greenspan, and it was equally pathetic. How we ever get to the point where we worship characters like this, and put them in charge, I can't even fathom a guess. Or how the 'citizens' just tolerate it and keep worshiping...

Understand, this article was posted in Dec 2010, but is till quite valid. I wonder how many more bad reads he has done since then?

Boy, lately (ever since the Knight fiasco?) Sunday sessions, my favorite time of the trading week, have been dead. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Can we get a little selling, please? Just throw me a bone... Anyway, with the key events this week, unless one of them causes an implosion (like if the German courts actually ruled 'nein' on the EMS (yeah, like that could happen, I give it way under a 1% chance just because it might implode the entire world)), we won't likely see any real selling. And even if some starts, they will just jawbone it right back up...

A young Bern-Qwacke:

I found that here:

I actually 'know' the author from there.

If you are bored with the lack of action and have some free time to kill, start reading articles over here. Read at least the first eight or so. I know many will think this is a doomsday website, overblown, catering to doom-monger ads and scared people who see the worst in every situation, but, and this is just my opinion, you couldn't be further from the truth. I find the articles a little on the simple side, generally very accurate, and much less scary than the actual reality. It reminds me of some dialogue from the movie 'Six Days, Seven Nights'.
So, what are we, like, shipwrecked?
How do you want it?
Excuse me?
Do you want it sugarcoated or right between the eyes?
You pick.
We've only got one wheel, so we can't take off. Lightning fried the radio and the emergency location transmitter. Air-Sea will probably try a rescue, but without a beacon to hone in, it's like trying to find a flea on an elephant's ass. The only thing we've got is this flare gun and a single flare...
Is it too late to get it sugarcoated?
That was sugarcoated.
And this website isn't the doomsday version, it's the sugarcoated version...

Q: Hey, Jim, why have you turned the trading section into a non-stop litany of horribly negative articles and stuff? Didn't you used to reserve all that for the economic section, for those that wanted to torture themselves with all that?
A: Well, partly it's because the action has been so boring the last month I see almost no point to post trading stuff. But mostly because I feel we have really 'Crossed the Rubicon', and I can feel what is about to unfold in everything around us. So, I am just tuned into this stuff more and more every day as the end times (not in a religious sense) come closer and closer...

It acts like it wants this 34.25 to be the low here. I'm not sure I see that, I'm just saying I sense that's what they want. But, with no action and no volume, it's really a waste of time to try to read it...

I'm such a doom and gloomer... I guess I'm bent on driving everyone out of here? I was just watching the charts, doing some work, listening to some classic tunes. On comes the Moody Blues, The Story In Your Eyes. I'm listening to it, and of course I draw the parallel with our country, our world. That's what my brain does, that's how I can do all this trading stuff. But the downside is that I can't turn it off. Anyway, here's some of it. You can draw your own parallels...
Listen to the tide slowly turning
Wash all our heartaches away
We're part of the fire that is burning
And from the ashes we can build another day
But I'm frightened for your children
That the life that we are living is in vain
And the sunshine we've been waiting for
Will turn to rain
Listen to the tide slowly turning
Wash all our heartaches away
We're part of the fire that is burning
And from the ashes we can build another day
But I'm frightened for your children
That the life that we are living is in vain
And the sunshine we've been waiting for
Will turn to rain

So, within a tick, that level has held for going on four hours now. Yep, they want that to be it. And I want it not to be. I won't fight the market, but I know what I want, and it sure isn't more upside.
