Well, I've been pondering and pondering what I should do, and I'm still undecided. I did get one more feedback e-mail, and it was extremely favorable towards the separate, closed KT commentary. The main thinking was it was pure KT thinking, and that was why this particular person was here. I received the opinions of one person I was in contact with and the one e-mail I first received when I asked for feedback, and they thought the separate area was good, but also felt there was value in the posts from others (I agree).
My thinking is that likely we won't see any posts in here from anyone else, probably ever. So, that makes me think I should just take that off the table. The opposite side of the coin is that I could start a topic each week for others to post, and it likely would just go empty week after week, but perhaps that would embolden someone to post. To have someone like Al stop posting really sucks. He's been a steady contributor. And we all miss rat's posts, of that I am sure. I can't speak for anyone else, but I can see how people might be wary now to jump in and post.
I was also pondering maybe continuing my closed thread, then having another thread for questions to me. That sounds like two threads that should be one, and they are. But if I just open up 'my' KT thread, what do I do when someone comes in and just posts a chart that is totally unrelated to what I am doing? I just don't want to play that game. In the old days it was called 'thread hijacking', but nowadays many do it all the time and never think twice. You're in a forum and the topic in 'New Mexico chili peppers' and someone comes in and posts a picture of their sailboat and starts talking about their trip to the Caribbean. What??? Happens all the time.
So, if I did a strictly KT thread, at least in the 'old days', it just wouldn't stay on topic. Nowadays I strongly suspect no one will ever post to this forum again. And that may, indeed, continue because no one dares to break the ice and be the first to post after all these weeks with no posts. It's purely insane, I've never seen anything like it, but it is what is going on right now. Hence, I could do another thread just for questions related to my topic.
Those are some of the things I am considering, as well as taking an extended break, and just archiving the forum and continuing my endless posts in blog format elsewhere. Other than the one e-mail I got, which was very pro my posts about as they are, no one will send me an e-mail and just tell me what they prefer, as far as the type of posts I do. Geez, I just can't grasp this.
I know I'm not world famous (well, in some small circles I guess I am...), but imagine some world authority at something I was interested in, I'm following his blog/forum, I have a zillion questions for him, and he begs and begs and begs for some e-mail contact, tell him what you want, please, he says. I try to imagine myself following along, and in this situation. And I decide, no, I won't contact him, I won't tell him what I want him to do for me, even though he's offering to do it for free, I'll just let it slide. And he says without contact he is so frustrated he is going to pull the plug on the daily free stuff, and my response? Okay. I'm still not going to contact him. What?
I have various people I respect, and there is no way to contact them. They wouldn't give me the time of day. Imagine they are busting their a#% off to give me free stuff, free stuff I want, and they ask me to contact them, and I say no, thanks. I'm just baffled as to what the dynamic is here. And probably I'll solve this, some day, maybe some day soon, in this manner.
I'll move the venue elsewhere, let's say. The new area will require a password. To get the password, you'll have to contact me. I'll say to get in the forum, you must contact me for a password, and fill out this form. The form will ask a lot of questions about what you want, what is most useful, etc. If the form isn't filled out, the e-mail gets deleted. Of course, I could do that here. I could just delete every user's permission, and then create a form page where I refer people to, and if I get any requests without the form filled out to my satisfaction, out it goes.
And if no one will even tell me what they prefer (maybe I could make it multiple choice), then so be it, I'm off the hook, project done, and I've got some free time to do other things. So be it. Hey, that's sounding good. I'll think this over some more, hope I get some additional feedback, then make my decision. This last one, though, sounds pretty good.

Yay, another push!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. I really didn't think it had it in it. I don't think this necessarily means it can get to that 5.50 or lower area, as that may just be a final climax drop, but the hope is still there...

That was it for the cash market, but right after that it sets another new low for the move. I just love this action. This is awesome action. I love going into the weekend with monster smile on my face. Just love it.

It got to 7.00 by eSignal data. I have some things that came in just above that 5.50, so it got to the spirit of the area. I'm not making excuses, I'm just saying when this was sitting at 31.50 if I'd have said I was looking for 5.50, center of area, and it got to 7.00, who wouldn't have thought that was pretty close. I had the idea. (And futures aren't closed yet...)
I'm not saying I posted this at the high. I thought it may stop where that first big leg did. I thought a ramp into the Friday close to set up an up Sunday open and maybe a run into the election was one reasonable premise. But, as I mentioned, that stop sweep started looking likely by some techniques I use. I thought most likely it would sweep the stops, not even get that key LOD stop, which matched the low from yesterday and opened it up to nothing but air from the ramp.
It did get them, and the key was watching what it did from there. If they were going to gun it up, they would likely have come in, quickly and strongly, before any big shorts saw the weakness not fading and started to lean on it. No pop. Short side becomes (or stays if one played the stop sweep for a wait and see, and 'scratch' if it snaps back or hold if it stays weak approach) the play. That's how I saw it, just for reference.

6.25... Three ticks from my center of area. If anything, the center is perhaps a bit lower, but 5.50 isn't the top of the area. It's all going to be 'academic' soon, it is now two ticks away at 6.00. Area hit, fully.

5.00 low. Look at the key TL. The .786 GZ. If you are a mentor student, you know what else to look for. And all the regular stuff we all know from the books and forum. Yee-frickin'-haw, what a gift going into the weekend. Yee. Frickin'. Haw.

I can't stop posting because I really can't get over how it did go right to my spot. You can see from my posts I just didn't even think it could do it. I was 'cautious'. I was ready for it to snap up. I was 'wary'. I saw how critical management mode was at that point, in case. I'm quite surprised, as I almost always am, to this day, when the techniques do exactly what they imply, even if it seems unfathomable. A day like today, wow, just amazes me as far as the harmony of the markets. And some still argue the market is random. Uh-huh.
